Key words

The research also aims to focus in particular on the issue of transversal skills and interdisciplinary understanding of individual areas, which are becoming increasingly important in the changing modern “society 4.0”. The need for a change of mindset among all participants in the educational process (school, employer, student and other relevant stakeholders), represented for example by the need to jointly set methods and learning outcomes, is then an essential part of the path to success for a graduate of a professional tertiary field in Society 4.0.

The main findings:

Readiness of the students of ZČU for requirements of Industry 4.0

The average enterprise already requires a level of soft skills that students from ZČU will not be able to meet in 5 years the current level will not be sufficient for any engineering companies.

Industry perception of technology 4.0

(1) Perception is mainly influenced by the size of the company,
(2) Employees in the engineering industry evaluate technology more positively on average than other respondents.

It will take Industry 4.0 to the people jobs?

At the current stage, P4.0 does not threaten human work.
